Denise uses the smallest pen tip or finest pencil point to model 3-D objects out of 2-D surfaces. Much time and effort goes into each piece. In her stipple work, each dot is strategically placed, and she thinks of her colored pencil work as paintings, with layer upon layer of color to achieve the desired realism. Nature-oriented projects excite her as they allow her to explore the intricacies of the individual subjects.
