Description: The historical society has no museum at this time but has a research room open.

Grist Mill and other early buildings
Address: 18 Mill St, Littleton, NH 03561

Description: Some of the earliest buildings in town now house the Littleton Grist Mill and Miller's Café. Buildings have been restored by the Eames family and Ron Murro along with his son. Two adj buildings are of remains of early manufacturing. Still picturesque.
Hours: Grist Mill open daily 10am-5pm
Directions: Exit 41 off I-93 to Main Street, Littleton. 2nd left on Main Street is Mill St. One block off Main Street, behind the Littleton Village Bookstore.
Programs Offered: Working mill which produces organic stone ground flours. Retail outlet and has an old grinding stone believed to be used in the original mill in the late 1700s. Acts as a museum that is open to the public.

Riverwalk Covered Bridge
Address: Behind Main St, Littleton, NH 03561
Description: Recently, a covered bridge was built across the Ammonoosuc River, next to Miller's Café, to allow access between the Riverglen Senior Housing and Senior Center and the village shops and services.
Directions: Behind Main Street next to Miller's Café.
Did you Know? A path was constructed along the river connecting the new bridge with a suspension footbridge built in 1902 near the old Saranac Glove & Tannery building.

Pollyanna
Site Owners: Littleton Public Library
Address: Main St, Littleton, NH 03561
Description: Delightful statue of Pollyanna, donated by the Eames family. Stands on the lawn of the Littleton Public Library. Eleanor Hodgeman Porter, beloved author of the Pollyanna books, was born in Littleton in 1868.
Directions: Main Street on the Library lawn.
Programs Offered: Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire promotes annual Pollyanna Glad Days in June as well as other events during the year.
Did you Know? Miss Hodgman attended Littleton schools and later married John Lyman Porter. Her first book, Pollyanna: The Glad Book was published in 1912. The word "Pollyanna" has been incorporated into our language to mean someone who always sees the good side of everything.

Saranac Glove & Tannery Building

Description: Started in 1866 by Ira Parker. Now the Tannery Marketplace. Words "Saranac Glove & Tannery" till visible on side of building.
Hours: Mon-Sat: 9am - 5pm Sun 10am - 4pm
Directions: Take exit 42, turn East onto Rte. 302 (Meadow Street). Just after Corey's Sport Shop, turn right onto Saranac Street.
Programs Offered: Marketplace Stores: Admac Salvage, Ammonoosuc Artisans Gallery, Saranac Street Antiques
Did you Know? Saranac Gloves were known around the world, even accompanying Adm. Richard Byrd on his polar expeditions.
