Description: The Pickwick-Clough Room houses a collection of 18th, 19th, and 20th century artifacts, papers, books, photographs, genealogies and other items relevant to our areas rich history.
Recent programs have included storyteller and humorist, Rebecca Rule; Salmon Hole Cemetery Walk with music provided by Jeff Warner; antiques appraisal event; Civil War Program with Dr. Joe Nyberg; and Ogontz White Mountain Camp for Girls Program with Libbie Payne. A major fundraiser is the recent publication of Personal Traces, a Historical Collection of Personal Accounts from Lisbon, Lyman and Landaff, N.H., by Andrea M. Fitzgerald in 2005 and Personal Traces, Book Two in 2008. All profits from the books benefit the Lisbon Area Historical Society, a 501 ( c ) nonprofit charity. A grant was also awarded from NH Electric Co-op Foundation to conserve an original 1790 map of Lisbon.
